One of my new favorites is actually a trio: three home entertainment gadgets working together to create a true private cinema experience in the home. The trio includes the Kaleidescape movie, a music server with the Runco Cinewide/AutoScope projectors and a Stewart Cinecurve adjusting screen. The Kaleidescape unit will store your movies for instant retrieval by title, actor, director, rating, year or genre. It then tells the projector and screen to adjust to the proper aspect ratio. Now if I'm watching football in HD my screen is a 16:9 aspect ration. If I decide to watch Ghost Rider, the screen will now expand to 2.35:1 wide-screen. Now I'm seeing the movie as the director intended. What a difference.
