HISTORY
KEF is named after Kent Engineering and Foundry where our story began. Our founder Raymond Cooke was propelled by a love of music and a refusal to compromise, and he leveraged technology at every turn to ensure KEF’s position at the cutting edge of audio.
A list of breakthroughs spanning more than half a century shores up that promise; a walk to match the talk. Patents and academic papers alike testify to decades of consistent progress, from the early use of synthetic materials to our Reference Series which determines industry standards to this day. The MUON project
A KEF Concept designed by Ross Lovegrove
The MUON project is ambitious to say the least. Visionary designer Ross Lovegrove was tasked with turning the finest acoustic engineering into the ultimate loudspeaker by combining form and function with manufacturing integrity. The MUON loudspeaker is fabricated from super-formed aluminium to create a shape that is devoid of sharp edges and extremely stiff. It combines Ross Lovegrove's design aesthetics with KEF's finest engineering. The process by which MUON was conceived meant that, in effect, Ross Lovegrove was sculpting the sound by 'skinning' the technology with purposeful form.

Wired or wireless connectivity
You can choose to operate LS50 Wireless II completely wirelessly at 24bit/96kHz resolution for a completely clutter-free set up, or you can connect the two speakers with the supplied cable for 24bit/192kHz resolution sound.
Personalized listening experience
The brand-new dedicated KEF Connect app controls LS50 Wireless II on a day-to-day basis, including intuitive sound settings so you can tune the sound to your own personal tastes. You can even select your favorite source to wake up LS50 Wireless II whenever it comes on, allowing you immediate access to the best sound.
Simple multiroom system
When using LS50 Wireless II with AirPlay 2, Chromecast or Roon you can stream to multiple speakers around your home at the same time. By using multiple LS50 Wireless II speakers, you can have a simple, high-performance multiroom system.
