CanJam NYC 2026: The Latest and Greatest in Personal Audio

Dan Clark Audio at Can Jam 2026

What We Heard at CanJam NYC 2026

CanJam is the world’s premier headphone audio show, with annual events in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, London, Los Angeles, and Dallas. New York City CanJam is a three-hour train ride from Baltimore – so off we went, our third time gathering videos at CanJam. If you like headphones, this is the show for you! A weekend ticket is only $50, one day is $30, and the attendees are all enthusiasts. We got some good videos.

• At the stunning New York House of Sound, Ricky Miranda of McIntosh and Sonus faber took us on a tour of the new Sonus faber Amati Supreme speakers. They sounded fabulous on a wide variety of music, and made a dramatic visual impression as well

• We visited John Tarulli at Audio Technica’s Technica House, a beautiful showroom for the company’s headphones, turntables, phono cartridges, extensive record collection – even a mini recording studio. The Audio Technica TH – ADX7000 headphones are a premium offering that really impressed us

• Sennheiser’s Eric Palonen gave us a full tour of their HDB630 Wireless headphone, which has gotten a great reception in the marketplace. At $499, it sounded great, and is customizable to your musical preferences in their easy-to-use app

• Meze Audio’s managing director, Mircea Fanatan, and sales director Adrian Temian showed off their new in-ear monitors. We were blown away by how intricate the production process is.

• At Audeze, Artist and Industry Relations Manager Chris Berens took us through their new flagship LCD-5s headphones. This update to the already popular LCD-5 adds their famous SLAM bass technology, seriously upgrading the bass clarity and definition. They also improved the long-term comfort and wearability.

• Rob Watts at Chord Electronics showed us their impressive new Ultima Quartet Digital Upscaler, which becomes part of the brand’s Choral range when it begins shipping later this year. Quartet is by far their most advanced upscaler yet and should immediately move their already impressive-sounding electronics forward.

• We were glad to see our friend Dan Clark of Dan Clark Audio, who showed off premium models from both their open-back and closed-back range. He also entertained us with the story of how he got started with headphones – much fun!

• At the iFi Audio booth, Ricardo Anton and Tim Penn showed off their new flagship iDSD Phantom, a reference-class DAC/streamer/headphone amplifier. A product like this can take a really good-sounding headphone into the shockingly good-sounding range. We’re stoked to get our hands on one for review.

• If you love headphones, you need content. Roger at Forte Distribution gave us a detailed look at the compact, ruggedly built Shanling EC Zero T portable CD player, a unit that performs well in your home system or on the road.  Bravo!
