OUR STORY
Gramophone is a privately held, family-owned company with more than 60 employees, many of whom have been with the company for over a decade. Today, we provide the highest quality home audio and video equipment, as well as expert design and custom installation services. We offer expert sales, design & installation in both new construction & existing residences.
Gramophone is one of the nation's most respected & preeminent installers of:

DESIGN & BUILD: We created a Design & Build team in 2014 to add to our services custom contracting, interior design and more. Our in-house team includes a systems engineer, interior designers, CAD technicians, general contractors, carpenters and more. An example of our work (see photo to the left).
COMMERCIAL SOLUTIONS: Our Commercial Solutions division was added in 2016 to extend our AV, networking, electrical, and design services to commercial locations and projects.
PROFESSIONAL PARTNERSHIPS: We assist design and architecture firms with the best AV integration and service to guarantee the aesthetic cohesion between design and technology.

Check out our unique showroom in GAITHERSBURG
Visit our location in Gaithersburg, Maryland! It was created to feel like a residential space with its own simulated backyard patio with fireplace and waterproof TV; an iFi zone where customers can listen to the best headphones and personal listening products the industry has to offer; living room with high-end audio and luxury decor and furnishings; listening room with the latest speakers and audio technology from Totem, Bowers & Wilkins, PSB, Artnovion and more; conference room with Crestron automation technology and Baltimore-local tables and products; and a home theater with a 140" screen and elevated theater seating for the ultimate big-screen experience. The whole showroom includes lighting by Lutron and Civilight with schemes and moods that we can customize and time to our liking, as well as multiroom audio and video. We also have a separate neighboring building specifically featuring our commercial capabilities, from teleconferencing to security to sound masking to interior design.
